OMH: Three sisters. One little blog.
Why, hello there. Welcome to On My Honor, the little blog tended by three grown sisters. We are equal parts wishers, wanderers, lovers, creators, and collectors. And honestly, if we bring home any more bones or pigeon feathers, we'll probably be decried as witches. Aside from secreting nature treasures in drawers and on bookshelves, we're endlessly delighted by all things handmade, whether wrought by our hands or another's. Other items that thrill us to no end: the deep and very dark woods, ladies with mad skills, sea creatures, most episodes of Doctor Who, and heights. Also, there is always room in our wild hearts for the love of a good cat. We're so pleased to make your acquaintance.

I’m the elder sister; you could say I’m of the bookish sort. I have a Master’s degree in Fiction but neglect my writing even more than doing the dishes. Great, now I feel guilty about it. Setting that aside, I live in Tacoma, Washington with my cat darling: Matilda. While she prefers to sleep in a window box and chase marbles around the kitchen—can you blame her?—I’m more of a small-time adventurer, handmade dreamer, desirer of minor earthquakes, and harborer of a secret wish to escape from a car that’s plunged into an icy lake. Not so secret anymore.

As the middle sister, I would classify myself as a bit reckless and outgoing, with fits of introverted episodes. Two years ago I relocated from Washington to Burbank, California with my handsome gent Bennett and sweetling dog Olive. It's not uncommon for me to Disneyland away the day or fill my sun-soaked living room with handmade messes. I also love the ocean and find myself bringing home ripe oceanic treasures often, which never fails to draw attention from Olive and Ben (for entirely different reasons). To Ben's credit, I did once try to sneak something into the freezer when I thought no one was watching. To my credit, it was in the name of science.

Why, hello! My name is Catherine, and I work for the state and live in Olympia, Washington with my two (nearly identical) black and white cats (who are not related). I recently earned my Master in Public Administration, but I'm convinced my true calling is owning alpacas, having cats, knitting, and making things. I genuinely love sundries, notions, and Abraham Lincoln. So nice to meet you!
