Best of...toys from my childhood
This post hurts my heart in the best possible way. My stomach is fluttering and my nose can recall just how all of these toys smelled--that familiar sweet plastic! I know exactly how they would feel if I were able to hold them, and I can remember all the happy memories they were part of. Well, mostly happy memories. Take for instance my Breyer horse Man O War. Christine, Monika, and I were in the backyard playing model horses (naturally). Monika got mad and chucked Man O War across the lawn. He landed, with his back leg sticking out of the lawn like some kind of horse lawn marker. His leg broke off in the dirt. I had to dig it out.

Best of: on screen romance
If you are staying in this Valentine's evening I would like to share of my viewing recommendations for the occasion...
The Decoy Bride
This movie is very light and adorable, how could it not be with David Tennant and Kelly MacDonald. I find this a charming and easy watch. I've watched it several times since discovering it on Netflix.
Romancing the stone
This is one of my top movies of all time. I love Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turners on screen chemistry. If you haven't seen this please for the love of god watch this movie! (and then watch Jewel of the Nile, and the War of the Roses)
Only You
I hate to be redundant, but this is also one of my top movies. Marisa Tome and Robert Downey Jr are so amazing together, not to mention it has one of my favorite lines of a romantic fashion (he would kill tigers for you…), which in truth I wouldn't support unless it was a life or death situation. Which I would hope is the only time a gentleman would kill a tiger for a lady, lest he be no gentleman.
The Office Special- spoiler alert if you haven't seen the original Office series incompletion

Best of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee
If you haven't already jumped on the bandwagon, you need to. Jerry Seinfeld's newest show is called Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Each episode is about 15 minutes long. Jerry picks up a comedian in a different car each time--sometimes the cars are fancy (fast, old, rare, etc.) and sometimes they're trash heaps but still fitting. He'll start the episode by explaining why he picked the car for the respective comedian. Here are some of my favorite episodes so far, but they're all worth a watch. Check it!

Best of An Idiot Abroad's bungee jump saga
So I was delighted last weekend to find that Netflix has the full series of An Idiot Abroad. The charming travels of Karl Pilkington, Ricky Gervais' self proclaimed most expensive practical joke ever played.
There are three seasons, the first Karl travels to see the seven wonders of the world, the second he fulfills common bucket list tasks (not his bucket list), and the last is with Warwick Davis and they retrace the route of Marco Polo.
Hilarity ensues. This is a video sequence from the second and third seasons relating to Karl's long tormented relationship with the bungee jump.
This first video is from the first bucket list episode where Karl is heading off to the South Pacific to spend a night on a deserted island; but first has to make a stop in New Zealand for the ultimate bucket list item, the bungee jump.

Best of Rifle: Christmas edition
I love Rifle. Rifle Paper Co. that is, none of this firearm business--psshh. Rifle Paper Co. has the most amazing marketing and design people, it's not even funny. I could easily (and sometimes do) drop a ridiculous amount of money on paper-based products because they do what they do so damn well!

Top 5 best cat apparel
1.
This cute cat scarf is from Modcloth. Umm, what's not to love? You can totally wear this scarf to work too. It's fine, you can.
2.
3.
Yeah they will. Just tonight I was on the phone (conference call style) with both sisters when I saw that there was a leaf on the ground by my front door. I went to pick it up and, weird, it wasn't a leaf at all. It was a pile of cat puke. Cat puke that was now on my hand. Blech, but this t-shirt isn't blech.
4.
This pretty little cat t-shirt is from Forever 21. Was from Forever 21. Who has two thumbs and regrets not buying this t-shirt? This girl!
5.
Pink cat sweater. If it wasn't $100+ I would I buy it in a flash.
I hope this post inspires you to go out there and buy some cat apparel. I already found like 3 more things I'm going to go purchase right now.
Shout out to Christine's Pinterest cat board for the inspiration!

Best of: Little Notebooks Under $10
![]() |
| Target letterpress notebook, Pistachio Press on Etsy, $7.00 |
I love a good notebook and always have one in my purse or pocket. As someone who is a bit absentminded, I find it incredibly important to write everything down. Besides, you never know when you'll need to make an impromptu list, leave a quick note, sketch out a map, take or give a phone number, or get an important idea down on paper. I mean, yeah, you could use your smartphone for all that, but there's just something about the act of putting pen or pencil to paper that will never go out of style...

Top 5 Conan Clips
Yeah you heard right. Sorry, I'm not sorry that this isn't a crafty post. I love me some Conan. Also, I've been hunched over hand-beading a collar on a dress for two days, and Christine reminded me of some Conan clips, so I've had plenty of time to re-watch them all. Without further ado, the best Conan clips ever.

Best of Aerial Views of Water
Also, lets just throw this out there, I love these because they look like little aquatic dioramas. I am not ashamed of that truth more on that later...
